Alex's Story: From Fast Food to Finish Lines

BEFORE FITNESS

When I first started training with Alex in 2024, he was struggling with his weight and health. As he puts it:

"Two years ago, I was close to 260 pounds and gaining. My diet was mostly junk food and fast food, sometimes two or three times a day. I felt tired, in pain, and honestly, I was just going through life with blinders on."

 

THE TURNING POINT

Alex began training with me in 2024, and six months later, I challenged him to participate in an obstacle race, something that would become a pivotal moment in his fitness journey.

THE TRANSFORMATION 

"One year ago, almost to the day, I was six months into training and preparing for an obstacle race, something I never imagined myself doing. That race became a turning point, a spark that lit something new in me. I finished the course, still saying, 'I'm not a runner. I might keep going to the gym, but don't expect me to sign up for races.'

None of this would have started without the inspiration and leadership of a true coach, a man who went from nearly dying and being on oxygen to running marathons. His support, tough love, and consistent guidance pushed me toward results I never thought possible.

Fast forward to today: I hover between 160–180 pounds, feel better than I have in years, and now proudly wear 11 race medals and counting.

I could go on and on about how your mindset, your life, and your outlook can completely shift, but it takes the right coach: one who's focused, firm, and fully committed to your growth.

WHAT I LEARNED FROM ALEX'S JOURNEY
